Meet the Park Place Baptist Church Staff.

Wife: Jana

Keith grew up in Pearl, MS and was raised by Christian parents. Through God’s influence with family and church, Keith was saved at a young age and has always enjoyed church involvement. While working as an auditor and serving as a youth S.S. director and deacon, Keith sensed God’s call to vocational Christian ministry. He quit his job and began seminary work in 1992. In addition to an accounting degree from MSU, Keith earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to Park Place, Keith served as pastor of Walker Hill B.C. in Brandon and Midway B.C. in Meridian. He is passionate about preaching God’s Word and serving others. Keith and his family enjoy traveling, sports, theme parks, and mission trips. Keith’s hobbies include hunting, fishing and playing golf.

Daniel Bray

Associate Pastor

Daniel is from Pelahatchie, MS. He grew to love and know the Lord through his family and local church there. While studying engineering at Mississippi State, he grew to love international missions and studying the Bible. After graduating with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, he moved with his wife, Amanda, to Fort Worth, Texas to attend seminary with the intent of moving overseas. After earning a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he and his family served as missionaries in east Asia for 4 years before transitioning to campus ministry in Starkville, MS. Daniel loves the church, and he is passionate about equipping believers around the world for a lifetime of faithful Christian living.

Jeff Jones

Jeff was at Mississippi State studying to become a Civil Engineer when the Lord called him to full time ministry. Jeff graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering and also has a Master of Theological Studies degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He enjoys playing and listening to music (especially kids songs), reading, watching sports (especially Mississippi State football), and discovering new and creative ways to share God’s truths with kids. Jeff loves being a children’s minister because it gives him a great excuse to be the kid at heart that he is. He is married to his wife Megan, whom he is thankful to have as his partner in life and ministry. They have two children, Jenny and Cleve.

Korbi McQueary

Director of Preschool Ministry and Office Manager

Korbi grew up in a loving, Christian home in McComb, MS. She worked in the vision care field for nearly 10 years before God called her to Park Place as a ministry assistant. After working over 9 years as the pastors’ secretary, Korbi began serving as the Director of Preschool Ministry and Office Manager. Working and serving at Park Place has helped Korbi to realize her passions for the Lord’s work in singing, missions, preschool ministry, and fellowship. While participating in her first international mission trip to Ukraine, Korbi developed a deep love for the nations. Pursuing that love has led her on multiple local, national, and international mission trips. In her free time, Korbi enjoys spending time with family, sharing meals with friends, reading, and going to the beach.

Paul Lee

Minister of Senior Adults

Paul and Deborah joined the Park Place family in July 2014, after their retirement and move from Corinth, MS. Paul trusted Jesus as Savior as a ten year old and at age 12 accepted God’s call to vocational ministry. He preached occasionally during high school and college and was ordained in 1967 as pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS. Paul served Mississippi churches for more than 40 years with responsibilities in youth and recreation, education and administration, including more than 20 years in senior adult ministry. He is a graduate of Tupelo High School, Clarke Jr. College, Mississippi College, and Southwestern Seminary. Paul enjoys hunting and gardening. He and Deborah have two adult children and two granddaughters.

Darren Scoggin

Music Minister

Darren grew up in Ellisville, MS but he and Sarah have made Rankin County their home since 2010. Darren was raised in church but realized his need for the Savior as a young teenager and was graciously saved at that time. Music has always been an important part of his life, even pursuing music studies in college. Sensing a call to medicine though, Darren attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center for his medical degree and remained at Batson Children’s Hospital for pediatric residency.

After leading worship in a temporary capacity at Park Place, Darren began to sense the Lord changing his heart and calling him to serve the local body of Christ by leading in gospel-centered music each week. He is blessed by leading the choir, directing the instrumentalists, and hearing God’s people sing His praise.

When Darren is not practicing medicine or serving at the church, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and pretending he knows what he’s doing with his garden.

Doc Harbison

Head of School

Doc Harbison grew up in Sumrall, MS and attended First Baptist Church of Sumrall as a youth. While there, he realized that he was a sinner in need of a Savior, and he prayed and surrendered his life to Jesus.

He attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a degree in Elementary Education and Mississippi College where he received a degree in Independent School Administration.

Doc has been in education for 19 years and taught 6th grade at Park Place Christian Academy for 7 years, and was the elementary principal for 2 years before becoming Head of School.

Doc is married to Andrea Harbison. Doc and Andrea have 3 children: Alana, Adalyn, and John who fill their life with love, joy, laughter, and chaos. Doc enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports, and eating good food. Doc fills humbled and blessed by the opportunity to continue serving the Lord as Head of School.

Michael Holyfield

Minister of Missions and Discipleship

Michael grew up in a Christian home in Simpson County and went to church regularly during his childhood. At around age 12, he began to realize from God’s Word that he was a sinner and that he needed forgiveness for his sins. A few weeks later, Michael surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized.

After retiring from the IMB in June of 2022, Michael was called to serve on staff at Park Place. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife of 37 years, his children and grandchildren, playing disc golf, riding horses, traveling, and going for long walks.

Brett Lunsford

Operations/Facilities Manager

Growing up in Nashville, TN, Brett’s life was deeply influenced by the saving faith displayed in his mother and grandmother. At the age of 15, Brett surrendered his life to Christ and began using his gift of singing to share the gospel with others, a gift that God would use for decades to come. Brett enjoyed a career in the vision care industry for 30 years, but in 2016, the Lord would change Brett’s course. The Lord put on Brett’s heart a desire to give his children a quality Christian education. In searching for schools, God led Brett and his family to Park Place Christian Academy where they also found a church home at Park Place Baptist Church.

To supplement his family’s income, Brett took a part-time job in the facilities department where Glenn Bryant, Director of Facilities, taught him the inner workings of facilities care, and mentored him as a brother in Christ for over six years.

Brett’s favorite mission trip is the New Orleans family trip, where he and his family made some of their closest connections within the church. He serves in the music ministry faithfully, and he enjoys singing on praise team and serving in student ministry.
